what it’s like dining at one of the best restaurants in the world

I’m busy watching Heston Blumenthal wow some of his biggest fans on Masterchef Australia and am suddenly reminded of the once-in-a-lifetime experience we had dining at Ferran and Albert Adria’s Tickets La Vida Tapa

The atmosphere is really relaxed. No one has any one airs and graces and the staff are super friendly and ridiculously excited about the food they’re about to serve. As is Albert when I interview him. The man doesn’t sit still. But I can’t give too much away – I will be writing all about it in an upcoming issue of Marie Claire.

I really love taking food pictures – I’m just not that good at it – yet. Feast your eyes…

The exploding olives – which aren’t really olives but the essence of all the olives

Mini airbags stuffed with Manchego cheese and Iberian ham

Cool-hot chocolate fritters that get colder and colder as you get closer to the middle

The Spanish grilled lobster

Razor clams with ginger oil, cayenne pepper and lemon air

Chips that look and taste of the sea

The most orgasmic American oysters
